It all began in 1950 as the Methodist International House with the tradition of Hilda Porter, a Methodist missionary, with the goal of providing safe and congenial accommodation for international students in the post war Britain. It was relocated to Euston Road, Central London in 1998, from Bayswater, West London, becoming the first social enterprise hotel in the UK and change of its name to Methodist International Centre.
Better referred to as MIC Hotel & Conference Centre, it saw a major spruce up of the facilities in 2013 and the rebranding to The Wesley, in Could 2013 to mirror the Christian & Methodist heritage while concentrating on providing modern honest hotel lodging. The Wesley has actually made great strides in supplying ethical hospitality services for many years supporting and housing more than 10,000 students and as a well developed Central London conference, conferences and events venue.
